THE SEVENTH BASIC EVIL – ENVY



One of the great lessons that will be taught in SOSADM is how to overcome the seventh basic evil.
In this you will be introduced to one of his sons, and perhaps the most dangerous of them all – ENVY.

Envy is a subtle enemy from which a lot of people suffer, without knowing it. It is difficult to admit having it or begin to work on it, because it is not in the conscious mind, it hides itself in the subconscious mind of people, where it controls them.

Envy is the world’s most dangerous emotion. As a proof of this statement, it induced the first murder ever recorded in the history of mankind – the case of Cane and Abel in the Bible.

The most dangerous set of people are people who combine low self-esteem with envy. The mixture of these two is a weapon of mass destruction.
However, people who suffer from it do not know they suffer from it.

Envy naturally puts people in unhealthy rivalry with those they envy.
In reality, these people may be their best friends who want the best for them.

Envy makes the littlest man look the biggest in the eyes of the one who envies him.
This is one reason why some people refuse to offer help to certain people who needed their helps and asked for them, despite they are in positions to help.

When people envy you, they may never help you, no matter how many times you go to them for help. Helping you will further make you look bigger than they are. It is like handing weapon to their foe to defeat them.

People who envy you often shy away from or make fun of what you do right, but will magnify most, what you do wrong.
Your rights make them wrong, and your wrongs make them right.  Your success is their failure, so they try to prevent you, sometimes, by withholding what you need to be successful, refusing to support you or by blocking your ways.

Will you like to be free from envy, or be able to tell if someone envies you?

Communication pervades every human activity, man cannot do without it. HOLINESS AND VIRGINITY

Talking about virginity to some people, you are indirectly talking about holiness, but have we ever tried to ask what the differences are? Does virginity have anything to do with holiness? Maybe we just don’t define them rightly. Now let’s define them. According to Oxford Dictionary, holy from which holiness is derived are defined as follows: 1. Morally and spiritually excellent or perfect, and to be revered. 2. Belonging to or devoted to God. 3. consecrated, sacred. [Old English: related to *whole] Let’s talk the meaning of virginity just as well. Virginity means remaining a virgin and according to Oxford Dictionary virgin is defined as follows: 1. Person who has never had sexual intercourse. 2. (The Virgin) Christ's mother Mary. 3. (The Virgin) sign or constellation Virgo. —adj. 1 not yet used etc. 2. Virginal. [Latin virgo -gin-] All the above definitions of virgin points to one thing: natural state of something; a state of not being utilized.
