Great News!
The CHILD HERO campaign is set for it’s next film project!

Over the years, Peregrine Reads has brought together literary creatives to a banquet of passion and creativity, by addressing through literary contests, various issues that affect humanity.

Following the successful completion of the maiden edition of the CHILD HERO STORY CONTEST & FILM PROJECT, the CHILD HERO dream has grown bigger, giving birth to more projects which fruitfully spanned across the year 2016. The curtains have finally been raised for It’s 2nd edition.
The Project seeks to raise an increased awareness and visibility of the varying issues and challenges faced by the orphaned and vulnerable children in Nigeria through filmmaking.
Hence, the CHILD HERO EMPOWERMENT CAMPAIGN is calling out to all heroes of children to participate in the 2nd Edition of her Story contest & Film Project.

Theme:  
‘ORPHANS – QUEST FOR IDENTITY'

Shortlisted stories will be judged strictly by a panel of judges who will critically access the works and select the winner based on a clearly defined criteria. The contest will consist of a winner and a runner up. As usual, the winning story gets filmed and this time, the 1st runner up grabs N25,000.00. Submissions begin today and ends on the 25th of February, 2017 and contest officially kicks off on the blog on the 1st of March, 2017.

Communication pervades every human activity, man cannot do without it. Talking about virginity to some people, you are indirectly talking about holiness, but have we ever tried to ask what the differences are? Does virginity have anything to do with holiness? Maybe we just don’t define them rightly. Now let’s define them. According to Oxford Dictionary, holy from which holiness is derived are defined as follows: 1. Morally and spiritually excellent or perfect, and to be revered. 2. Belonging to or devoted to God. 3. consecrated, sacred. [Old English: related to *whole] Let’s talk the meaning of virginity just as well. Virginity means remaining a virgin and according to Oxford Dictionary virgin is defined as follows: 1. Person who has never had sexual intercourse. 2. (The Virgin) Christ's mother Mary. 3. (The Virgin) sign or constellation Virgo. —adj. 1 not yet used etc. 2. Virginal. [Latin virgo -gin-] All the above definitions of virgin points to one thing: natural state of something; a state of not being utilized.
