SERVITUDE

Arise O compatriots
Nigeria's call obey
Unto multitudes without gender
clad in crested vests
Packed in rugged khaki
Fresh breed of paramilitary
Fresh meat for the men on the seat

Arise O compatriots
Sent to serve the fatherland for a year
Rent is their lives unto supreme sacrifice
Neglected by humanity
Condemned by divinity
No room for fear nor regret
Ask! A call to service or to slavery?

Unto the government who spun them out;
They are zilch
Unto the terrorists who raises dust up;
They are meat
Unto the citizens who murdered their sanity;
They are milk
Unto the firms who spit white out the black lips;
They are rots
Unto the religious leaders who sits in nooks cut into walls;
They are nulls
Unto the community who offers three legged chairs to sit on;
They are dogs.

Arise oh compatriots
Youths obey the clarion call
Sounds like we do have a choice
That which screams you are wrong
Where will it not be this hot
In the boiling pot or on this soil.
