WHY I TAG AND MENTION NAMES ON MY UPDATES

It’s obvious a lot of people don’t know why I tag and mention them on my updates on Facebook; they might have thought I am only a fool for continuing to tag them even when they ignore my works, but they would have been far from being right anyways. I tag people for very different reasons.

Most recently, one of my write-ups: 11ATTITUDE OF SELF-CENTERED PEOPLE ON SOCIAL NETWORK stirred another controversy and most of the few people I tagged on it felt I targeted them with it; they took it personal and fought back the best way they could, it was me against the world as they also invited their friends to support them, I watched as they battle to save their reputations that they thought I wanted to spoil.

98% of those who commented on it concluded I was a lonely attention seeker, they only said how they felt and what they thought was my reason for the post. None of them dared to act on the greatest art of communication, which is: seeing in another person’s perspective and sympathizing with them. If they have done that, none would have taken it personal, thus in their effort to prove me wrong that they are self-centered, they ended up proving me right.

Most people assume tagging and mentioning them on updates means someone wants their attention, that’s not true about me, however, it does not mean people don’t do it to seek attention.
Look, I know how to get attention if I want it, negative things and religious bigotry brings attention and I could have opted for one if I want attention that much. I could have pasted a nude picture of my girlfriend, myself having sex and the likes, I know these will get me more than enough attention, but I am Soul’e Rhymez, I just do my job as the spirit leads.

If I keep tagging and mentioning you on my works, and you think I want your attention; don’t you think not giving the attention is self-centeredness?
Nevertheless, all I want is for you to read, digest and be a better person.
Your attention could be a great motivation no doubt, but I don’t focus on it and that’s why I keep tagging and mentioning even when you ignore them.
I don’t tag you because of you alone; I tag you because of people that visit your wall.
I value affecting lives more than your attention or what you think about my tags.

Like I once said, it is only a fool that stop doing the necessary things because of what people will say. For this reason, I will rather get my message to the world the best way that I can do it than to care about what you think is the reason for it or even stop because of you. I will stop tagging only when it is no longer needed for me to do so.
Kudos to those that willingly sacrifice their walls for my write-ups and have never complained.
Kudos to those who continue to like, comment and share, God bless you all.

I value your likes, comments and shares, they keep me going as a writer and you will have your great reward in heaven for encouraging me in the best way you can to heal the world and make it a better place.
I know a lot of you stopped liking or commenting because you feel they no longer make sense to me, but I tell you, they make much sense. There is no one who does not want to be appreciated; we only have people who shy away from it. I’m not such hypocrite; I don’t shy away from being appreciated, I don’t also do things because of it, but I love them to keep coming, your appreciation of my works is a great motivation.

MORAL LESSONS

Always try to know the reason why people do things, don’t assume you know why certain things are done; actions often look the same, but often have different intentions behind them.
It is always wise to ask questions. This is the greatest art of communication.
Avoid taking things personal; think about the other person too, even though you might not know why they do things, assume good reasons for them. It doesn’t hurt, it’s simply pure maturity.
Think of giving more than of receiving and one of the best ways to do that on this platform is to sincerely encourage good works from people by liking, commenting and sharing them, it goes a longer way than you can ever imagine.

In conclusion, “After all is said and a little is done, it will be said that I ranted and kept quiet, but I will spread my message to the world the best way that I can do it and if you don’t listen, I’d live my life the best way that I can live it.”
