TRULY, THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD ARE WISER THAN THE CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM!

Image
Sometime ago, I was talking to a lady about a business opportunity, without finding out what it was, she said it was too easy and looks like a scam and even though I showed her my earnings, she still could not be convinced. This made me remember the words of Jesus Christ which goes thus: “The children of the world are wiser than the children of the kingdom.” Was Jesus wrong to have said that? Looking at Jesus’ example of a servant, who after realizing his master was going to chase him away due lack of productivity, called his master’s debtors, whom he has given goods on debt without the knowledge of his master and told them to pay half of what they were owing. This made it easier for them to pay, they paid and he gave the money to his master, who in return retained him and loved him more. He had achieved three things with that: making his master happy, retaining his job and setting the debtors free. Looking at it critically, that servant wasn’t honest. He wasn’t hon...

THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENTS OF SUCCESS

Image
No one has become successful without first having faith to do something and taking the risk to do it. The two most important ingredients of success, regardless of how it is defined are faith and risk . 12 years ago, Mark Zuckerberg invited 5 people to his Harvard dorm room to discuss a business opportunity - "Facebook" Only 2 people showed up and they got in. Today those two people are billionaires: Dustin Moskovitz ($10.7 Billion) and Eduardo Saverin ($7.4 Billion) The three other people simply didn’t have faith in the vision and were not willing to take the risk involved in achieving it. Where are they today?  They are simply nowhere to be found compared to Mark and the other two. There is nothing more expensive than a closed mind; neither is anything as painful as a neglected opportunity, that you later see people succeed with. According to Soul’e Rhymez , “ One of the hallmarks of great entrepreneurs is risks taking. If you haven’t taken an...

SUCCESS; A PRODUCT OF FAITH AND RISK

“No one has become successful without first having faith to do something and taking the risk to do it.” 12 years ago, Mark Zuckerberg invited 5 people to his Harvard dorm room to discuss a business opportunity - "Facebook" Only 2 people showed up and they got in. According to Soul’e Rhymez, *“ One of the hallmarks of great entrepreneurs is risks taking.” * If you haven’t taken any risk that makes you doubt if your sense is still intact, even when it is, then you are not living yet, you only exis t. Therefore, if you do not have faith something will work and ...

REDEFINITION OF EDUCATION: SOUL’E RHYMEZ CAUSED ANOTHER UPROAR

Image
Ever since his essay “ When Education Becomes Indoctrination ”, has gone viral, enjoying publication on different websites, blogs and newspapers across the country including The Guardian Newspaper . Soul’e Rhymez has been resilient in his bid to redefine education.   In a bid to do that, the writer, who is known for his controversial style of writing haven’t stopped getting attention from people, both positive and negative. The eccentric public speaker and poet raised another set eyebrows again on the 12 th of November, 2016 at a seminar organized by Dream Achievers World (DAW), tagged “Sabificate beyond Certificate” where he was invited as one of the guest speakers. The seminar which has the likes of Mr. Christian Nonso, Mr. James Ifeanyi, Miss. Juliet Obi and Mr. Emmanuel C.S Eze in attendance left a lot of questions in the minds of the audience, who battled to understand the difference between schooling and education. Soul’e Rhymez started by affirming that edu...

WHEN WISDOM LOOKS LIKE SIN

Image
More than 2000 years ago, Jesus, the greatest entity to grace this earth said, “The children of the world are wiser than the children of the kingdom.” What are they doing better? Looking at Jesus’ example of a servant who after realizing his master was going to chase him away due lack of productivity, he called his master’s debtors, whom he has given goods on debt without the knowledge of his master, telling them to pay half of what they owe. This made it easier for them to pay, they paid and he gave the money to his master, who in return retained him and loved him more. He had achieved three things with that: making his master happy, retaining his job and setting the debtors free. Looking at it critically, that servant wasn’t honest. He lied to his master by collecting half of his debts and making him believe it was the full debt. He was not being honest, yet Jesus referred to him as being wise. Does it mean Jesus support dishonesty? You need to know more. ...

WANT OF PERFECT SECURITY; THE REASON FOR CONTINUOUS POVERTY

Image
Perfect security is a grand illusion, it doesn’t exist anywhere, no one ever had it, no one have it and no one will have it. Ignorance of this fact is the reason why the poor remains poor. Poverty is not just about lack of money, but lack of information and negative approach to life. Like I once said, the poorest person in life is someone with the poorest mentality; however this affects how rich one will be materially too. A few days ago, I posted a presentation I did on iCharity on Facebook and one of the people I tagged, commented, requesting not to be tagged on such post any longer. I sent him private message asking why he had said so and he said the post was degrading for a writer of my caliber. The second person that commented threatened to block me if I ever tag her on such irrelevant post again, while the third person did a half-baked analysis just to support his decision not to join the referrer business. All of these guys have one thing in common: they want to...
