THE TEN STUPID MONKEYS


Some time ago, 10 monkeys were put in a room. In the middle of the room is a ladder that leads to a bunch of bananas hanging from a hook on the ceiling. All the monkeys were hungry, but each time a monkey tries to climb the ladder, all the monkeys are sprayed with ice water, which makes them miserable.

Soon enough, whenever a monkey attempts to climb the ladder, all of the other monkeys, not wanting to be sprayed ice-water, set upon him and beat him up. Soon, none of the 10 monkeys ever attempts to climb the ladder.

One of the 10 monkeys was then removed, and replaced with a new one. Seeing the bananas and the ladder, he wondered why none of the other monkeys is doing the obvious. But undaunted, he immediately climbed the ladder. All the other monkeys set upon him and beat him silly and he has no idea why. However, he no longer attempts to climb the ladder.

Another was removed out of the original 10 monkeys and replaced. The newcomer again attempts to climb the ladder, but all the other monkeys hammered the crap out of him. This includes one that was added before him. He participated in the beating without knowing why they were attacking the new monkey.

One by one, all the original monkeys are replaced. 10 new monkeys are now in the room. None of them have ever been sprayed by ice water but none of them attempts to climb the ladder to take the bunch of banana even though they were hungry. All of them enthusiastically beat up any new monkey that tries to get the banana without having any idea why they are doing it.

The story of the 10 stupid monkeys explains why many people remain in mediocrity. The same way all the other monkeys beat any new one for attempting to take the banana is the way many people have been beaten to mediocrity for attempting to live beyond it.  Everyone is expected to follow certain traditions and beliefs without questioning them.

If you dare to do something differently, you will become an enemy of the people, they will beat you down. Many people do not even attempt to live above mediocrity because they are scared of being beaten; they joined to beat others do without being able to explain why they do so.

I have seen this play out my times in life – I have seen many beaten to mediocrity and I have seen a large number of people, who accepted mediocrity on hearing the stories of the beatings others have received. Living exceptional life means that you have to do something different from the way your ancestors have always been doing them.

Things are not necessarily right because your ancestors did it or because it is a tradition practiced by some people. This is why I have written my collection of books known as TRUE FUCKERS CODES. This collection of books, namely FATHERFUCKERS CODES (for women) & MOTHERFUCKERS CODES (for men) contains a template for exceptional living.  

The title of the books in themselves tests your ability to live above the norm – if you get pissed by the title, it shows that you are not ready to live above mediocrity and live your life in your way. Some people have rejected the opportunity to review the book because they are not ready to break away from the norms. They forget that “norm” is not the same as “right”.

According to Miss. Oluwatosin Fadumiyo, the co-founder of Transforming Lives Global, Fatherfuckers codes is a book that disrupts the norm. It means that if you are not ready to live above the norm and mediocrity, the book is not for you.

HOLINESS AND VIRGINITY

Talking about virginity to some people, you are indirectly talking about holiness, but have we ever tried to ask what the differences are? Does virginity have anything to do with holiness? Maybe we just don’t define them rightly. Now let’s define them. According to Oxford Dictionary, holy from which holiness is derived are defined as follows: 1. Morally and spiritually excellent or perfect, and to be revered. 2. Belonging to or devoted to God. 3. consecrated, sacred. [Old English: related to *whole] Let’s talk the meaning of virginity just as well. Virginity means remaining a virgin and according to Oxford Dictionary virgin is defined as follows: 1. Person who has never had sexual intercourse. 2. (The Virgin) Christ's mother Mary. 3. (The Virgin) sign or constellation Virgo. —adj. 1 not yet used etc. 2. Virginal. [Latin virgo -gin-] All the above definitions of virgin points to one thing: natural state of something; a state of not being utilized.
