SRAF- FLASH-FICTION CONTEST CALL FOR ENTRIES

SRAF Flash-Fiction Contest is an initiative of SRAF International; it takes place every two months.
It is aimed at enhancing creative thinking, unique story telling techniques and teach certain morals among the youths. It is open to anyone from different parts of the world.
The theme for this edition is “The Power of Love”.
                                                                                              
Submissions Period:                  
Entries are received from 4th May, 2017 and ends on 17th May, 2017.
                                          
Voting Period:
Voting Starts on the 18th May, 2017, end 30th May, 2017.

Guidelines for Submission:
1. Only original story must be submitted, all plagiarized stories will be disqualified.

2. All stories should be submitted with one featured image that correlate with the theme of the story

3. All stories must be submitted on www.srafng.com by their authors.

4. Only one entry per author is allowed, if anyone submits two, both will be disqualified.

5. Though stories could carry different titles, it must depict the above stated theme: “POWER OF LOVE”

6. Submitted stories must not be more than 300 words, failure results in disqualification.

7. All participants should subscribe to the website to be notified when the public voting begins.

Numbers of Prize Winners: 1

Criteria for winning:
All entries will be processed by our judges, 10 best quotes will be selected and listed on the site for public voting. The winner is the person with the highest number of votes.
                                                                                                                             
Prize:
The winner is automatically qualified to compete with subsequent winners for SRAF Flash-Fiction of the Year Award, where the eventual winner gets #20, 000. 00 cash, and also have the chance to feature on SRAF-Pacesetters’ World, a video interview, which will be placed on our website promoted across the Globe.

Remember to select your category as “Flash-Fiction Contest”, post your title and story in the spaces provided, click on “Add image” and add your image, then submit. You will see confirmation on the site that you have successfully submitted, if not send again.
After submission on the site, send the same story and your bio, which includes your phone number & location, all as the body of your email to srafng@gmail.com.

HOLINESS AND VIRGINITY

Talking about virginity to some people, you are indirectly talking about holiness, but have we ever tried to ask what the differences are? Does virginity have anything to do with holiness? Maybe we just don’t define them rightly. Now let’s define them. According to Oxford Dictionary, holy from which holiness is derived are defined as follows: 1. Morally and spiritually excellent or perfect, and to be revered. 2. Belonging to or devoted to God. 3. consecrated, sacred. [Old English: related to *whole] Let’s talk the meaning of virginity just as well. Virginity means remaining a virgin and according to Oxford Dictionary virgin is defined as follows: 1. Person who has never had sexual intercourse. 2. (The Virgin) Christ's mother Mary. 3. (The Virgin) sign or constellation Virgo. —adj. 1 not yet used etc. 2. Virginal. [Latin virgo -gin-] All the above definitions of virgin points to one thing: natural state of something; a state of not being utilized.
