SUFFERING IN SILENCE


Silence, they say, is golden but I have seen time and time again that being silent when you should speak against things that affect you is perfect stupidity.
The world gets worse everyday not because we have more bad people but because we have a lot of good people who are dumb.
Yesterday, the boys with me and I were to go to a depot to bring the drinks we have booked for an event when it was obvious they are very tired. There was no way they could have lifted those drinks without breaking down.
They grumbled that the sellers should bring the drinks instead of them going there to lift it.
They were right but they couldn't speak out when itmatters most.
I went with them and immediately they saw us, they were prepared to have us lift the drinks all by ourselves even though it wasn't our responsibility to do so.
I wasn't pleased with that development so I spoke to the owner of the depot in an angry tone.
I let her know it was not the duty of the customers to lift the drinks by themselves,
I told her it is part of customer service and that neither me nor the boys were going to lift the drinks.
She was angry I spoke to her rudely but she granted our wish and in less than fifteen minutes the drinks arrived at the venue as the woman promised.
I was accused of been too forward but, the only thing I cared about was that our right was granted and I got it.
I spoke out because I knew my right as a customer and I didn't need to keep quiet or beg for it. This is the attitude of game changers and great leaders.
No one has ever effected any worthwhile change by keeping quiet,
change begin by letting your words serve as critics to your actions.
This is why Great Minds Initiatives has refused to keep quiet on our crippled educational system.
We know that when education becomes a conspiracy, it only favors a few people at the detriment of many who are fed with needless indoctrinations when true education is hidden away from them.
In that regard, most university operators know that it is not every student regardless of how brilliant they are need university to access the true education they need to be relevant in the society.
They are only motivated by the monies they get from them which goes to their pockets at the detriment of the youths' future.
Let me ask you, how many students write JAMB?
How much is the form sold,
How many passed and got admission and where does the whole money goes to?
Do you really think there is a problem with our educational system?
Do you think you have what it takes to make this society better than it is?
Are you willing to speak out against all odds?
Are you willing to sacrifice your selfish ambition for the vision that benefit many others including you?
Are you willing to be a part of this great movement of great minds, who has chosing what they know is beneficial to them and others ahead of taking what was passed down to them?

Talking about virginity to some people, you are indirectly talking about holiness, but have we ever tried to ask what the differences are? Does virginity have anything to do with holiness? Maybe we just don’t define them rightly. Now let’s define them. According to Oxford Dictionary, holy from which holiness is derived are defined as follows: 1. Morally and spiritually excellent or perfect, and to be revered. 2. Belonging to or devoted to God. 3. consecrated, sacred. [Old English: related to *whole] Let’s talk the meaning of virginity just as well. Virginity means remaining a virgin and according to Oxford Dictionary virgin is defined as follows: 1. Person who has never had sexual intercourse. 2. (The Virgin) Christ's mother Mary. 3. (The Virgin) sign or constellation Virgo. —adj. 1 not yet used etc. 2. Virginal. [Latin virgo -gin-] All the above definitions of virgin points to one thing: natural state of something; a state of not being utilized.
