THE UNSCRIPTURED (controversies generated by the scriptures)



They lived free creatures
But after the written scriptures
We now have unsure future.
Thou shall and thou shall not guard our days
Let thy kingdom come we always pray.
Counting on what the scriptures say.

With the scriptures we made us cage,
Not set Free from the old siege,
The scriptures are here to save
But our blindness lead us to grave.

Should the Sheppard be wealthy?
"Holy armed robbers" the spiritual accused.
"It is unscriptured",
The son of man died poor".
But hath he not become poor for us to be rich?
"Care about the needy" they defended.
But will the poor seize to exist?
Hath God not saith that?

Should the Sheppard Sheppard with their wives?
"Only the man is called" the spirituals submitted.
"Thus it is unscriptured".
But will two no longer come together and become one?
"Not in this Case!" They argued.
But can one put asunder,
What God hath joined together?

Should women anoint and lay hands?
"It is unwritten". Says the spirituals.
"It is quite unscriptured".
Doth Deborah not judge men of Israel?
Doth the scripture decide for God
Which of his creations to use?

Should women wear weave-on,
Rings and trousers put-on?
"Abomination!” The spirituals exclaims.
"Such is unscriptured".
But hath God designed weave-on, rings and trousers?
Doth God distinct between them?

Should the acclaimed unclean animals be eaten?
"Taboo!" the spirituals shouted.
"Eating the unclean is unscriptured".
But hath God made anything unclean?
Can a clean God make the unclean?

Was the scriptures unwritten by men like us?
Was not emotions mixed with inspirations?

Scriptured or unscriptured
Hath we not the knowledge of good and bad?
Hath we not our conscience to judge us?
Doth the spirituals not have
The spirit ministering to them?
Doth common sense no longer sense?
Of all my unscriptured questions,
There are scriptured answers.

POEM 1 And Divinity Wept Love I marvel how Divinity could ever demonstrate love A love for humanity so pure as pure as a dove: In his love was love and a love void of lust, For on the cross he bled and suffered to save the lost. He considered not the affliction and pain For with his suffering comes great gain; With his blood the sin of mankind was cleansed As perfect redemption was made that heavens may be appeased. He was the precious lamb sent to save the world, And redeem man from a life of mod; His love was divine and so he died for man to find peace; That by his death man's suffering may cease. His death brought freedom and gave man hope Of eternity and a hope for a heavenly robe, Though his suffering and agony was grave Yet he loved man so much that his life he gave. His heart of love made him endure the cross, For he died that he may redeem man from loss; Being divine his blood made man as pure as a dove Even in death, still in his heart was love.

HOLINESS AND VIRGINITY

Talking about virginity to some people, you are indirectly talking about holiness, but have we ever tried to ask what the differences are? Does virginity have anything to do with holiness? Maybe we just don’t define them rightly. Now let’s define them. According to Oxford Dictionary, holy from which holiness is derived are defined as follows: 1. Morally and spiritually excellent or perfect, and to be revered. 2. Belonging to or devoted to God. 3. consecrated, sacred. [Old English: related to *whole] Let’s talk the meaning of virginity just as well. Virginity means remaining a virgin and according to Oxford Dictionary virgin is defined as follows: 1. Person who has never had sexual intercourse. 2. (The Virgin) Christ's mother Mary. 3. (The Virgin) sign or constellation Virgo. —adj. 1 not yet used etc. 2. Virginal. [Latin virgo -gin-] All the above definitions of virgin points to one thing: natural state of something; a state of not being utilized.
